This contest is about winning, and only the wise will survive.  HEAA and Residence would like to promote conservation in a competition of epic proportions.  Pretty simple; reduce your power and water usage more than your competitors (other buildings).  Your progress will be compared monthly to last year’s data.  To sweeten the pot, Residence has agreed to reinvest the money saved from the contest into future green initiatives (energy efficient upgrades, sustainable power investments, or other projects that are good for the planet)… so it’s win, win!  Of course, bragging rights only go to the real winners.

Conservation is about being innovative.  You don’t need to live like a caveperson to use less… you just need to waste less.  You could turn off your computer when your not using it, turn off the shower when you’re lathering your hair with shampoo, or shut off the lounge TV if no one is watching it.  You can also check out the links below for some neat ideas.
